Tempted to trade MG5 SR for an MG4 SR

So I got the MG4 Trophy for my wife and now I look at my original MG5 it looks and feels so dated. Im tempted to trade my MG5 in for £23,500 and buy an MG4 SR for £26k, or sell it privately and get pretty much £26k. Internally it looks the same size, it's just the boot is smaller. I'd prefer to get a new larger estate or larger SUV based on the new MG4 platform but that could be years away.

So for an extra 2.5k I'm tempted to just swap my MG5 for an MG4. It lacks a couple of things my exclusive MG5 has but has gained so much more being the latest platform model.

What would you do?

The facelift MG5 is out soon so in your situation I'd wait and have a look at that.

It's pretty much the old one though isn't it, not based on the new platform

It's not on the new platform but that doesn't bother me. I really like my current 5. The facelift doesn't look dated externally and the interior is updated as well, so best of both worlds keep the estate and get modernised. This is the option I'm looking to now.
