Incorrect values indicate battery damage, but normal values do not necessarily mean the battery is in good condition

has been used for a year and has traveled 24000 kilometers

12.88V seems a bit high, a fully charged battery should read 12.6V.
(cheap meter ?)

Hello
I have just had my ZS EV for 3 weeks now and have been checking the 12v battery every day and it runs at 13.1v and when it gets down to 12.6v the next time I check it has been recharged by the car back to 13.1v. A battery that is in good state condition and capacity hold should been showing at least 13v.

A 12V car battery has 6 cells that are 2.1V each, 6 x 2.1 = 12.6V.
With the car on you are seeing the charging voltage, which can be as high as 14.2V or more, not the battery's resting voltage.
Turn the car off, disconnect the -ve lead and check with a multimeter or if it's a second generation ZS check the app when the car is off.
Note: if you have replaced the OEM battery with an Optima yellow top, it could show 13-13.2V fully charged.

It’s new a second genertion ZS EV only just had it three weeks 74 plate and charge at 14.2 and the reading at the battery resting.

I think 12.7 is normal which is consistent on my year old MG4 SE. The meter isn’t required if you use the MG AP

Yes if after 12 hours of a full charge the voltage of a good new battery could be around 12.7v. Once this figure has reduced to 12.0v basically the battery has had it and will need replacing. Immediately after charging the voltage can up around 13 to 14v and can be watched slowly falling on a meter.
