Now that the membership of our MG3 hybrid club is increasing at a fair old trot I thought a note to newcomers to the MG marque might be appropriate. The MG, (Morris Garages), dates back to 1924 and this year celebrates its centenary. The following link will give you all the ins and outs of this great company, 100 Years Young | The History of MG. It may come as a surprise to some to know that Elvis drove a MGA in the film 'Blue Hawaii', liked the car so much he bought it and took the car back to Graceland. Great names also associated with MG's include Steve McQueen, George Best, Stirling Moss and others. This month also saw the MG Centenary celebrated at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. So, when you buy an MG you are joining the ranks of many famous owners during a hundred year history.
