Is this correct that the 2021 MG ZS EV only has 4 star euro Ncap.?

I’ve heard this on a review tube page
I couldn’t confirm it on Euro ncap page.

I didn't think they had (or indeed needed) to have it tested and therefore could bring forward the 5* from the original MG ZS EV. Could be wrong but I believe this is what got Renault Zoe in hot water it had carried it's 5 star rating forward from 2013 but eventually changed it enough they needed it retested which it got a whopping 0 star (ouch)

Safety

The petrol-engined MG ZS garnered a middling three-star safety rating from the independent crash-testing experts at Euro NCAP, but the electric version did better, primarily due to its additional active safety technology. It scored the maximum five stars, with 90% and 85% scores for adult and child occupant protection respectively.

All ZS EVs also feature a suite of driver assistance systems called ‘MG Pilot’, which includes active emergency braking with pedestrian and bicycle detection, lane-keeping assistance with lane-departure warning, traffic-jam assist, intelligent speed-limit assist and intelligent high-beam assist. Upgrade to either Trophy or Trophy Connect spec and you get rear cross-traffic alert and blind-spot monitoring with lane-change assistance as well.

They've just tested the Marvel R, which was awarded a four star rating.

Yes the Zoe is 0 zero. Nadda , nout

Arguably lane keep assist greatly reduces the chance of you being in a situation where you could hit a tree.

I don't think it would have prevented the Volvo I saw last week from mounting the traffic Island at around 40mph as it exited the M11.?

It was a big saloon thing.
Don't feel sorry for him he cut up a lorry at speed to take the exit and then tried to bully a fiesta out of his way. He tried it with me but since I was in the truck I stood my ground and won.
Volvo's make a hell of a thud when hitting an island that's about 4ft wide and 20ft long ?

I think they have tightened the requirements, old 5 star is new 4 star.
The latest tests put more emphasis on driver assistance, e.g. lane keeping and automatic braking so a lot of cars from that period would get a low score. The big thing owners are moaning about with the ZE50 was the removal of the head portion of the side airbag but, even if it still had it, it would only have got 1 star.
