Both can be true. I am of the opinion this is a huge leap forward AND we are still many years away from it being good enough.
Just interesting, does SAIC work on Self-Driving technology for MG ?
TJA is nice feature, but I asked about self-driving (like Tesla FSD).Traffic Jam Assist is the extremely basic SAIC version.
Works very well in my experience, even up to speeds it was not designed for.

Sure, but there is an enormous leap from "driving itself sometimes" to "driving itself always, more safely than a human". Think about difficult turns in heavy traffic, rain, ice, snow, glare, pedestrians, animals, junk on the road, construction zones, different regional roads rules and conventions, emergency vehicles, and unexpected situations. The consequences of getting it wrong are of course very high.Well in my experience when you use TJA the car is self driving!
Mine won't - not unless there are decent lane lines on both sides of the lane.It will follow the car in front.
