I have a Pod point home charger and a B/Gas EV tariff that is cheap between midnight & 5am, this means having to start it at midnight and get up at 5am, anyone know if a OHME smart lead would cure the problem and allow me smart charging?

If it's a 7 kWh charger then you won't have to get up at 5am, unless the battery was almost flat, as it will probably stop charging before that, it stops when it's full.
It only takes around 6 hours to charge from flat so even if it was flat you'd only be going about an hour into the higher tariff period.
Edit: Just noticed you're in Rotherham. If you go into town for some shopping, Tescos have 4 free 7 kWh chargers which will put just over 20 miles in to your battery for every hour you're connected.

Cheers found that out this morning when I got out of bed and checked the smart meter I could see it had stopped charging, not had the home charger or car long so still feeling my way round, as to Rotherham town centre only good thing there is the road out to Maltby lol. Probably makes the £400 for the ohme lead not worth the money

You could always get a three pin plug timer like what you can use for lamps at home to control the granny charger
