Just a little thing to save my phone going flying every time I want to overtake another car.

A simple piece of black angled plastic and a piece of old floor mat, the bottom of the plastic is stuck under the mat, and the mat is stuck down with double sided tape.

The phone isn't as slippery on the mat as it is on the bare charging pad, and it still charges ok through the mat.

Stops it being like the launch deck of an aircraft carrier 😊

I’m tempted to model and print some form of dock. So the USB cable is captive under there and I slide the phone in. Might be more effort than I want to invest though. But I might get bored one afternoon and hyperfixate, who knows 🤷‍♂️ 😊

I like the printed dock idea, it's just a bit beyond my skill level, I'm a glue 'n' tape man myself. 😁

By the way, if anybody wants to have a bash themselves, the piece of angled plastic was off ebay, 200mm x 3/4" x 3/4" black - EBAY
For many plastics you can gently heat them until they very quickly go soft and formable for a few seconds.

With a longer length and short cut along the crease, you could bend in the 2 ends to stop sideways movement too - I'll probably give that a go.

A heat gun works but don't know if a hairdryer gets hot enough. Using a blow torch should be possible as long you don't overdo it and set it alight.

Ordered some. Gonna give it a go. 🙂👍

This has worked perfectly for me since I did it, did either of you guys try anything?

I've got it. Just not got around to fitting it, yet, you know it's a big job. 🙄🙂 I've got a back up idea, though if it doesn't work, for me, or I don't like it when fitted. 😉🙂👍

Sideways movement is definitely a problem, going round a roundabout yesterday my phone ended up in the passenger footwell.

So this is now the final version of this modification. 😁
