Touchscreen sluggish - software update?

Picked up new Xpower today from MG dealership in Poole, it has software version R40.. the touch screen seems a little temperamental, sluggish even non-responsive sometimes.. saw some posts suggesting updates fixed this for some people? any tips on anything else I should specifically complain about beyond the touch screen to get the later software versions? R46/59?

Has anything been done to reduce/remove the Lane Assist 'help'?

On my particular vehicle? No idea.. to be honest I have not driven it that much, so yet to experience the LKA or figure out if it's an issue for me.

Groan, they were less than helpful with resolving my delivery issues, blamed me for the warped undertray which was like that from delivery and wrong mats from delivery also not their fault and dashboard not clipped down is normal. Oh well

Good tip !! ... another tip I have also found is that a slightly moist / sweaty finger tip seems to work better than a bone dry finger tip.

I've also found a damp finger works much better, whilst driving I tend to rest my fingers on top of the screen and use my thumb to touch the screen, but a moist finger works better, as in so many other things ???

Ah not so good then, they are my local Dealer and so whether they supplied the car or not, it would be them that would be doing servicing etc.

Software is awful and trying to use the screen whilst driving is borderline dangerous due to the amount of times you have to check if what you have clicked actually worked!!

Does anybody know if there are plans to create driver profiles, where your specific settings are stored? Making a load of changes on the screen every time I get in the car is a bloody pain in the arse! ?

Driver profiles? Who knows. (Apart from SAIC obvs). ?‍

1100R33 improved responsiveness on the SE ... I'm sure I've read here that 1300R59 does likewise for the Trophy+ models.

Just been on a journey to Chester and back. Deliberately used the pointer, it worked every time, so will start using that again

These are the ones I bought. The microfibre covering is better in my opinion, I also use on my iPad. A lot of places sell them and might be an answer for some owners.

Further to my earlier post, I have been using the pointer every journey over the last week.
I can confirm that it worked flawlessly, the reactions are sometimes slow, as when using your finger. That is down to the slow software.

So Im very happy with that and will continue to use.
