MG3 Hybrid+ Luxury
Hello everyone,
I've had my new MG3 Hybrid+ for about a week now. This is the second time I have received a message via the app saying "Transmission status abnormal. Check your vehicle to ensure safety".
In some situations, the vehicle does not switch back to EV mode (despite available battery capacity), the engine continues to run at high revs and fuel consumption increases.
Of course I will go to the dealer / garage. Nevertheless, I would like to ask whether you have also had such experiences and what the cause might be.

Kind regards from Germany
Alexandra

I hope everything will be ok. I am very curious to see what was the problem.
I want to buy an Mg3 but I am a little bit afraid of all this small problems, I hope that they will solve the transmission problem.

I totally understand your concerns.
I took the car to the garage today for a check-up and hope to receive feedback in the next few days.
The fault seems to be unknown.
I'll get back to you as soon as I have any news.

Hi everyone,
My vehicle was test driven several miles by the service department employee and checked in the garage for the alarm, which was only displayed in the app.
Short story:
There is nothing wrong with the vehicle.
No transmission anomaly detectable.
No error in the vehicle's on-board computer.
The fact that the MG3 engine sometimes (so far in rare cases, mostly at the same point on the daily route) is buzzing and does not switch to EV mode is said to be normal and is due to recuperation.
A visit to the garage is only necessary if the car itself also reports an error. ?

So I hope to continue my journey without any further problems.

I hope my friend this problem is your last problem.
Mine is bought 2 weeks. The electric transmission HT-II has major problems.
Does not switch from gear 1 to the next gear 2, leaving the car without power under acceleration. The rpm of the engine goes up to max, w/o power like a classic slipping clutch.
In hill climbs goes to safe mode and you can't speed more than 40km/h even if you push the pedal all the way down !
The energy flow in the panel stopped indicating the modes.
All these started gradually from the first 50km and became worse till now to 600km.
No indication of any fault in the panel.
Tomorrow i have an appointment with the MG dealer.
I' m very disappointed.

Iam very sad. these problem should not happen in new cars. The transmission is serious problem and I hope the mechanics know how to fix it. Please inform us what the dealer told you about the problem. You live in the uk?
