Apologies if there's already a thread for this, but I couldn't find it in a search. Has anyone else had this issue? I've just inflated my tyres as the warning (rightly) reported them a bit low. My problem is that it's still warning me they are low when I know for a fact all tyres are inflated to the recommended pressure. Its' a minor irritation, but what's the use of sensors if they're inconsistent and unreliable?

You sometimes have to drive around for a bit for them to recalibrate.

Search for "TPMS".

I had a couple of journeys where it was reporting low pressure, but the tyre pressure screen showed them as normal. It just went away after a couple of days; no idea what caused it.

I just checked the workshop manual.
The TPMS sensor in each tyre reports tyre pressure and tyre temperature
The system then determines if it’s low pressure, rapid leakage, high temperature, high pressure, axle tyre pressure.

So in the case above where two tyres on the same axle have substantially different pressure, maybe that’s why the alarm is triggered.

Same in the case where tyres are possibly under inflated and then as they roll, they overheat and their pressure goes up, but only because of overheating.

Maybe not all conditions are reported correctly in the instrument panel.
