Lots of EV critics bang on about battery range in cold weather, but no one seems to talk about tyres.
I do a 60 miles round trip commute in central Scotland. Most years I would just drive more carefully but my last car (i30 1L) had an unfortunate run in with black ice. After that I got all season tyres, Goodyear vectors.
About 2 years later I get my hands on my MG. Weighing as much as a rhinoceros and with more torque, maybe I should get some better tyres.
So I've taken the plunge, booked in for mid Nov for winter tyres. Buying equipment to swap them myself when summer comes round as tyres swaps aren't really done in the UK?
What's everybody's doing?
