UK Tesla Superchargers now open for Non tesla EV's

Yep, I was proper happy with the speeds as I'd rather use this (whilst the temperature is good) rather than a 50kw Instavolt which at best gives 45kw. One other point I forgot to mention is Tesla only held a £10 authorisation charge which cleared back into my bank as soon as I stopped the charge and was billed. This seems far better than other providers who take more and keep it for what seems like forever ?

I imagine one good thing is that there are generally quite a few chargers at these places so with the high cost for us it is less likely to be full.

Thanks for the video. Do you really need to upload proof of ownership, etc, etc, in the Tesla app just to start a charge?

edit: I stopped at the first question - entering the VIN. Haven't needed this for any of the other apps so didn't have it handy

It was not necessary to upload Vin or proof of car. Are you using the correct app? It's the one for non Tesla owners.?

I like the idea of the £1 a minute charge for overstaying after car is charged. Stops people hogging the charger.

First time I used a Tesla charger it did a BP Plus. The app just sat there and did nothing while it tried to communicate with the charger. After two attempts I changed charger and it worked first time.

There are a large number at Darts Farm near Exeter which would come in handy for a quick charge when visiting the in laws.

Quicker than the 50kwh Osprey I usually use or the 3kwh from their solar panels.

Exeter Services on the M5 has 12 of the new GridServe 350kW CCS Rapid Chargers. Faster than Tesla SuperChargers (if your BEV can handle the power).
