That's really just certification. UK MG4s were never certified for roof loads even though EU ones were, so I presume they have bothered to certify the ER and XPower since they are the new models.

Yep, I read the threads too. Nice that they have bothered finally. One less thing for me to worry about. I’d have chanced it knowing it’s built well enough but still. Less caveat emptor now.
