I had several glitches with my MG4, took it to my local MG4 dealer who updated some modules because I had documented the faults. It came back with version R46, but some of the faults persisted. Due to work I didn't have time to follow these faults up, but continued to document them with pictures and time-scale. Several months later I took the car in with all the faults and the poor customer adviser took 35 minutes to go through the list and type it up, but when I picked the car up I was amazed at the difference in the car. The intelligent speed works flawlessly, Bluetooth works, radio doesn't fade or stop working, rapid charging which worked intermittently was fixed; these are just a few of the faults. The big question: what modules did they update?
Gateway Module (GW)
Body Control Module (BCM)
High-voltage Battery Pack (BMS)
Combined Charging Unit (CCU)
Electric Vehicle Communication Controller EVCC
Shifter Control Unit (SCU)
Intelligent Motor Control Unit (IMCU)
Electric Parking Motor Control Unit (EPMCV)
A/C Control Module (HVAC)
Front View Camera Module (FVCM)
R59
The customer adviser was amazed at the number of updates, all I can say is MG allow the techs to do the all the updates that the car needs and not what MG say.
With these update the car is just great, just like it should have been when released.
The garage was MG Caffyns at Ashford.
