Waiting on my MG4 Trophy

I don't reach for the stop/start button but do find myself occasionally looking for a proper manual handbrake.
The handbrake on our FRV was a dash-mounted pull-out jobbie, because of the 3+3 seating layout.

Good car, that. It did 175K and very little went wrong.

Grey was my fave. But as our last new car was black (it was the only one left, we literally had no choice), we decided against another dark paint job.
Very pleased with the red, though.

What's the charger situation like in the ol' US of A?
I’m in San Diego and judging by the numbers of evs, especially Tesla’s, it all appears pretty good.
I’m guessing many charge at home judging by the panels on roofs.
There’s seven Tesla hubs around this city area and I’ve seen charge points at some stores etc.
So overall I’m guessing the coverage is similar to UK with the position in urban areas but more sparse in between.
We’re driving over to Sturgis in South Dakota (1400 miles) next week to deliver two Harley Davidson motorcycles so might find out more about ev use and charger availability on the way over there. We’ll be in a RAM 3500 pickup with a 6.7 litre Cummins diesel. It has a standard 30 or so gallon fuel tank and I believe a 50 gallon auxiliary so a bit less than eco friendly. Add on a large trailer with the two bikes and I’m guessing we’ll burn a few Stegosaurus worths of juice on the trip ?

San Diego Gas and Electric has installed Level 2 and DC Fast chargers at parks, beaches, Park & Rides and school campuses across the region. Many public chargers are free or offer reduced, pay-as-you use fees. Also, many EVs have built-in apps to help you locate the closest charging station.

And they advocate plugging in whilst you eat, shop or exercise.
