Anyone else got a Wallbox pulsar plus home charger? Been working fine until a few days ago and now only will charge up to 1.45kw.

There have been a few updates recently and I know it's not the car itself.

No number to call them directly so have emailed.

You haven't accidentally moved the current setting in the app down from 32A have you? Basically you can rotate the current to any value below the 32A max. Finger on the circle and rotate.

Ye I've definitely been moving that up and down from min to max and doesn't change the KW up or down. It used to work but not anymore

Still a problem, got wallbox looking into it now. Factory reset and all that done. They asked for pictures but there's nothing wrong with it physically.

My experience with the wallbox has been totally frustrating. Unit installed on 6th October 2021 - it has never managed to deliver a charge - replacement unit fitted on 23rd November 2021 - that one hasn't worked either. Thinking that it might be the MG5 that was at fault I took it to a PodPoint charger at my local Lidl - AC charge worked straight away as did the CCS connection. The 'granny' charger also works with no problem. Am now going to try and get a refund and get a different chargere.

You haven't got any network extenders at home (Homeplug or some sky boxes have them built in). They are known to stop EV charging due to interference on the mains. It might be worth turning off everything in the house briefly to see if it states charging, then gradually turn thing back on.

I removed the Homeplugs but that didn't make any difference - as soon as the wallbox is connected to the car the halo goes to red - aargh!!!

That's unfortunate, My Wallbox pulsar was fitted last December and its been very good and at times I think its a fast charger ! so fingers x'd it will behave over the winter

Since I got my replacement I set schedule charge and not had to do anything since and never failed to charge. Seems some units are faulty but if they work there's no issue.

It IS a fast 'charger' :) but not a rapid charger

Sorry I thought fast chargers were 22kwh speed and home were 7. something,
looks like I'm still learning all this EV speak ....
I guess a slow is a granny charger, 2/3kw I think. Fast would I guess be considered 7 -22kw and anything above is rapid although the way its going I'd only consider a 50kw or above a rapid.

Correct with the slow/fast/rapid. Slow and fast are AC based, e.g. your home wallbox, supermarket etc. up to 22kW, which would be 3 phase AC, and the charger is onboard the car. (AC to DC)
Rapids are DC chargers of any speed and and you use the CCS cable/ports 'direct' to the cars DC HV battery. (DC to DC)
