What do you think is the cheapest feeling part of MG4

1. The standard tyres for me .... pretty poor on a performance orientated X-Power.
2. The carpets (fluff up and fray easily with a nozzle vac)
3. The lower down plastic all over the car.
4. The lack of a rear roof light for rear passengers
5. As above the front courtesy lights (replaced on mine with LED)
6. Lack of a rear central arm rest

TBH most of it feels pretty good to me, but I've never owned a premium brand to compare.
The only physical things I think are a bit naff are my 17" (early) wheel trims and the drivers left foot rest.

Gave a friend of mine a go this afternoon on the way to a camp site (coming from Nissan X-Trail 7 seater) and she's defo another in the 'all is forgiven when you put your foot down' camp.

Sitting in the passenger seat I noticed a couple marks in the upper door plastic that hadn't seen before. Would defo echo other's comments- think the irritation is the fact that you can't really remedy it?

Coming from an Audi A8, the XPOWER is obviously no comparison on quality of finish, but in particular:

The glove box lid

The infotainment system in general

The fact that when I accidentally switch the headlights off the infotainment screen goes from black to white theme dazzling me.

Mine is set Dark/Night permanently.

I guess it depends on what you have had before. I still have my Lexus NX 300h. Compared with my pre-facelift MG5, yes you can tell the difference in overall quality. I approached the purchase of the MG5 with low expectations - it is a budget EV car. Quite frankly I am blown away with how good it is overall. Compare like for like cost wise and you have a smile on your face. My original choice was a Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. Just compare the price of a two year old car - no contest. MG is a great way to get into full EV motoring.

Jesus! Owt else? So nowt really serious among the above then. Just a bit of nit picking. ? ??

Not really, as soon as you start driving it, all is forgiven.
There's definitely not much time to fiddle with wing mirror switches when the NSL sign appears on an empty road- all is forgiven is quite right!

Wonder if anyone from MG is making a note of the irks listed above?!

Coming from a 2020 premium plus b class it's pretty much everything... Then I press the x pedal and all is good
The mercedes b class ah yes for me that was the worlds worst and most dangerous vehicle ever. My Austin Allegro and Morris Marinas were mega superior to the b crap. Eight days was all I could thole- junk. !!

I thought the compromise on some fronts was worth the gains in handling and the rear wheel drive.
With this heat the tyres stick so well to the road I can have fun within the speed limit.

To clarify then, dear owners, not the cheapest part per se but the cheapest  feeling. Where do you think the corners have been cut the most? What bit feels like it's going to fall off every time you use it?
For me the row of buttons below the infotainment. I adore the buttons in my Kia and there are many!
These are a bit too spongy/springy

As we all know, SAIC built the MG4 to a budget. This morning I was resetting the wing mirrors from my other half's preferred position (careful now), and the way the switch kind of grinds from side to side made me wonder just how inexpensive they were. For context, last car was VW ID.3 so not exactly a Rolls.

With our car, by far the cheapest thing is on the seat, just behind the steering wheel.

Apart from that, the only thing I have a problem with is the little plastic doofer over which the string that that holds up the parcel shelf loops. One side keeps popping out. There are obviously non-premium choices all over a non-premium car, but in general, it feels churlish to be too picky. Remember that one YouTube video where someone was complaining that the indicator tick was too loud? (I think it was a test drive and they didn't know it could be adjusted.)

We broke the bit off that clicks in to the main part of the boot within a fortnight
