What does your dealership say?

I think you will find the AA membership is automatic if you have it serviced at MG.
I may be corrected?
It should be, but always best to ring the AA number and check it is in place. After my first service the dealership failed to notify the AA until I complained.

Automatic Cruise Control uses the radar to maintain a preset distance from the vehicle in front. If that vehicle slows down gradually, ACC will reduce power to the drivetrain so your car slows down also. If the vehicle in front slows down quickly, KERS kicks in and the drivetrain acts like a dynamo to use EMF (electromotive force) to resist the rotation of the elctric motor, which in turn generates electricity which flows back into the battery. Sudden decelaration will cause a combination of KERS and brakes to slow your car which is all controlled by the software.

its th MG5 EV Long Range Exclusive, or at least thats what I was told. The salesman even said that I can schedule charging etc.. which, without iSmart, I am unable to do.

Which is controlled via the CP line and works fine - the car smoothly ramps down the charge rather than the supply being cut.
The car will survive it a few times as it can cope with a power cut, but the switch will be in way over its rating.
If you RTFM you'll see that you are supposed to stop charging by unlocking the car, not by turning the "granny" off at the plug or unplugging it.

My goodness. The DM is really ramping it up. I continue to fight the good fight on their discussion boards but get absolutely battered with red arrows and abusive comments. I will still keep going though as I believe changing just one person's mind is a success.

Yes I agree, so I contacted Glynn Hopkins in Chelmsford and they said that it shouldn't be a problem to change over the wheels however when I asked about my AA breakdown cover and would they give me another year cover? And as I did not buy my car from them they said they would find out and email me with a definitive answer, that was a month ago and still no email.

Losing the rear parking sensors is a big shame, especially as my reversing skills are , lets say below average. :poop: if I get within two foot of another object that's a major win. The only other way I've found is the cocoa/ paste mixture over the camera and leave towing mode off. You do get a range of warning messages and the yellow triangle on the screen . Regain the sensors but lose speed sign detection (y) and auto high beam(y) as well as the other losses on towing mode. Oh! and a message saying ," take it to the dealer " .

That is good advice. On purchasing the car from a Ford dealer, I checked with the AA that the car was covered.
A quick phone call for peace of mind.

My dealer, Richmond MG at Botley, Hampshire sent a text today, referencing the 'items flagged as amber warning' on the vehiclle check sheet and did I want to book the car in to get them sorted.

Dug out said checklist and it's the NSF tyre showing 3.6mm tread depth and nothing else... haven't bothered to book it in...

I'm expecting a follow up e-mail soon.... :ROFLMAO:

I can report good news.
I had my MG5 2021 LR serviced yesterday plus MOT at Toomey's Basildon and they swapped my front wheels with the back ones free of charge. Service Including MOT cost £159.45.
Unfortunately they were unable to do a successful update to enable charging at Tesla chargers which is very disappointing ?.
