What have you bought for your Xpower this week ?

ah, love a collie dog, I have one that's 15 and a half
From right to left, Tipsy, 12 years, football , sticks, and swimming.
Woppit, 10 years, swimming, working the sheep, chasing foxes.
Nelly, 8 years, paddling , professional plate cleaner.
Hope they all last as long as yours.(y)
All have claimed the rear seats making our car into a two seater with less space ( Mg Midget )?

Might’ve bought a couple of cans of dip 😉 (colour and gloss lacquer)
My badge is back to OEM silver, can’t have that.
Trying a new can of blue to be more my desired colour, the last one was a bit too indigo.

Umm and now some bulb replacements for the interior. 😬

Opted for the branded ones as the price wasn’t massively different and they were available in warm white. Much prefer that to the cold white that some can be.

Some little presents from uncle Ali showed up.

Badge covers
Hot tip: (ahem) if using a heat gun because you read they stick better warm, and your big octagon is slightly warped and a bit of heat should flatten it nicely, be very careful with just how much heat you apply. Near enough was probably good enough... 🤦 [numerous expletives deleted]. Anyone need a melted octagon? 🤬

Fangs
Look spiffy. Heat will not be used...

XPower badge
Looks spiffy, but I'm still undecided. It might replace the "Electric" badge, or I might debadge the rear.

Cargo net
Handy dandy. Hooks onto the tethers at the rear of the seat, and the rings securing the little OEM boot nets. So far, my most useful accessory.

Console tray
So many people say these are fabulous. 🤷 Meh. Works fine, but unnecessary for me, and almost stops me storing a sun cap in there (still just fits). It's hidden under the armrest, so doesn't change the appearance at all.

Carlinkit 5 air2 wireless adapter
What I thought I ordered. I received a CPC200-CP2A (earlier version) instead. I suspect my error. It supposedly works with Android, but only CarPlay becomes available on the console. It was connected to a Google Pixel, definitely not running iOS! Android would not work at all. Complained, was refunded, returned incorrect one. Ordered the right one from the same seller (Carlinkit) for less! Anxiously waiting again.

I'm also waiting for some internal PPE, an ODBC connector, LED replacement internal lights, and some unrelated bits and bobs. I'll be ordering another badge cover.

Probably best to use a Hair dryer as opposed to a heat gun. 🤣😉🙂👍

Follow up...

Still waiting some bits. One day I'll fit that PPF 🤷

Fangs now fitted. Spiffy indeed.

Also, new interior lights (LEDs) fitted. Let there be light! Pro tip: if you leave the interior lights on while fiddling around to get the light cover off, the bulbs will be very hot. Erm...blisteringly hot. 🔥😂

They have this description: T10 W5W 194 501 Led Canbus No Error Car Interior Light T10 26 SMD 4014 Chip Pure White Instrument Lights B (not linked because it will change)

My replacement Carlinkit 5 air2 wireless adapter arrived, and having the correct version works a treat on Android. But. It connects to my phone when I'm just walking past the car! Clearly the USB outlet stays live, and the device must be using some power to be aware the phone's nearby. 12V? Anyway, I'm unplugging it to stop my phone connecting and beeping every tine I enter the garage - which kinda defeats the wireless purpose, but at least my phone stays in my pocket!

Konnwei ODBII connector. So. Much. Data. 😂 I used the free Car Scanner app. Has an on/off switch, so should be safe to leave in and switched off when not in use. The ODBII port is loose in mine (before I touched it) so fitting the connector into it was a PITA.

Today's task was to fit the PPF. Nope. It's wrong. I thought I'd been sent the LHD version, but looking at the pics, I was sent their RHD version, but it was never going to fit. The biggest problem is they appear to have mirrored an LHD image to get RHD, but the shift (as the most obvious example) is identical in both, NOT mirrored.

Below, a photo of a RHD gear selector. Also a screenshot showing the mirrored selector and that this is the RHD version. Finally, a screenshot showing the LHD version. Looks like I'll need an LHD version to protect the gear selector, and give up on the other bits. Or give up completely.

A case of the left hand doesn't know what the right is doing. o_O

Not bought per se, I might tip the designer though. Printed this cubby organiser to make it easier to use my insulated bottle in the car. Need to size and print a ring to adapt it tomorrow but I’m liking it, could’ve done with less accent colour but it’s not bad at all.
