What have you got, that's lasted you for years and years. ??

Had my grandfather's binoculars, polished brass housings, not sure if the survived the fires, can't remember if they were in the workshop, house or motorhome ..... if they were in the house, haven't sorted through the ashes yet, so the might have survived ......

Found two of my mother's gold rings yesterday while trying to clean up with a blower/vac around the spot where the motorhome is now parked in the workshop yard, they were heavier than the gravel and ash and remained on the concrete pathway  The stones are missing from one of them, I guees the fire was hot enough to melt the silver solder, but not hot enough to melt the gold .... still a chance for my wedding ring at the house, wife's wedding ring was in the drawer in the office desk and all that was scraped up when they did the demolition, either they found it or it went in the skip bin ......

My grantfather got a Bakelite table tray from American army surplus store after WW2. The tray was in my childhood life for meals every day. It is still a part of my parents daily life for their meals. I used that tray when I visited my parents two weeks ago. There was no chip, crack or even scratch on it after 70+ years of usage.
