Hi guys and girls, is this the world record for the number of weights to balance a wheel? Or can you beat it

In the dark ages before alloy wheels often lots of visible lead on the outside of rims.
I think a great improvement these stick on inside a great improvement.

Agreed, about the outside wheel weights.
But those, still look, awful. 🙄

I actually had a look at my wheels today and there's a good amount on a couple of them. Is this indication of quality in the tyre or the wheels.

In theory either . In practice I would suspect the tyres being the major cause
Don't worry the OEM Tyres were only available in Australia, and are now obsolete! So if you get a puncture on one tyre you have to replace the one on the other side for safety reasons.
Therefore you will be ditching the crummy Khumo tyres for hopefully a decent brand!
I went with Good Year...

Saw a good YT video on a Hunter two stage wheel balancer. This spins up the wheel and applies a load via a rubber jockey wheel . The electrickery then shines a laser at the tyre ,which the operator chalks on the tyre. A second laser blast then illuminates and the operator chalks the rim. The tyre is deflated and rotated on the rim to line up the chalk lines then re -inflated . After the initial balance the tyre is spun up again under load to fine tune with the standard weights. Might be of interest to X power owners .

I keep thinking of changing them all. I feel a lot of rumbles and noise which are coming from the tyres. Also notice doesn't take much to spin them so grip doesn't fill me with confidence. looking at 4 - 500 for a reasonable set.
