I bought a new MG4 Trophy LR last week and I'm loving it so far. The only issue I noticed the last day or two is that the windows seem to be steaming up really easily, especially with more than one person in the car.

The weather hasn't been particularly cold or hot and not much rain.

Has anyone else noticed an issue like this? Wonder if there is a window seal issue I need to get looked at.

One or two people have reported this as a problem, and I suspect there are particular cars that have some sort of a fault with the system. Personally I have been very impressed with the HVAC system in mine, how it keeps the car comfortable and (usually) condensation free with minimal effort. I often take two passengers with no problems, even in wet weather. If I do get some fogging of the windscreen, a quick blast of the demist button clears it.

Maybe check what settings you have the HVAC set at, use A or outside air rather than recirculated air, and keep the fan speed around or above 4. Select the windscreen vents to keep the windscreen clear in most conditions, and use the physical button for the demist function if it does mist up. The rear window heater is also a good option.

But as I said, we have had a thread about this before (and if I can find it I'll merge this in) and I formed the impression that a small minority of cars had a genuine problem.

If it's a brand new car there will still be moisture in the fabric of the car from manufacture and shipping. It will take a couple of weeks for it to fully dry out.

Have the AC on all the time as it has an air dryer built into it and have the air come from outside of the car and not recirculated.

If you have the HVAC on ECO, it consumes so little power it is not worth switching it on and off.
In particular, if you don’t use AC for a while, the car will run the AC after you lock the doors, to reduce chances of bacteria build up, so it’s a false economy.

When I use the AC, it's on ECO all the time. Works perfectly well.?

It's possible that the A/C isn't working. Try turning the temperature all the way down. Is there cold air coming out? My car has an ongoing issue whereby about 1 time in 20 when I get in, the A/C doesn't come on. Only outside air comes through the vents. This is despite multiple attempts to turn the A/C off and on again. It only resets if the car's been parked (locked) for a while.

I too have the same issue with steaming up, as soon as I set off I can see the screen misting.
A quick blast of Aircon clears it straight away.
