Wing mirror indicator light

Hi hope someone can help on this issue, every now and again as Im driving the little strip on wing mirror that flashes when you turn
flashes twice when Im not indicating does anyone know why.

If a car is approaching at speed from behind and the car is 'concerned' it may crash into you it activates the hazard warning (all indicators) lights to warn the approaching car. This may be the reason.

Yes it's a function called "Rear Collision Assist". Happened a few times to me.
