The ZS SE camera resolution (front and reversing) is really bad putting this lightly . Is there any way to replace those with HS equivalent?

I always thouht the image quality of the camera was grim.

Then I cleaned the lens, it seems to have some sort of coating on it.

Once cleaned properly, the IQ is OK. Matches the Aygo I had as a courtesy car...:)

I think also it makes a difference if you turn up the brightness a bit for the main computer infotainment screen. Mine was initialy quite dark when I picked it up from the showroom. Since doing that everything is fine even though the resolution is on the low side. I find it ok.

Does Trophy have equally bad camera ?
Just for the record, Leaf30 wasn't a particularly more expensive car back in the day. Its 8 year old and has better camera / resolution.

My cameras are good enough, but I have to clean them regularly.
I reverse park at work so use the camera daily, as I lock up the car and walk past the boot I just wipe the lens with my finger.
Obviously the cameras get dirty this time of the year.

I am finding the image to be blurry away from the centre. Its clear in the middle and blurs away

I suspect the cameras are the same on all models of ZS. My Trophy cameras have a slightly lower resolution that my last car which was a Citroen. However, I've adjusted to the picture without issue, other than the screen was set to be a bit on the darkside when I first picked the car up. That made everything worse. Brightening up the screen has made a nice difference.

I thought the screen is too bright even in the darkest settings. I suppose brightness affects contrast thus making bad video worse

Cameras are the same no matter the trim (Some trims in some countries omit some of the cameras so no 360 view)

My kids call the camera quality "Minecraft cameras"...

It is what it is, yes the quality is awful and yes they get dirty, but the part about getting dirty is universal. The reversing camera on my Tesla takes literally a miles or 2 to get really dirty on a wet grimy day.

Most of the time the quality is good, it's a bit fish eye lens so the view is quite wide angle but the quality is good, except for when it is dirty.

Just pulled in at work and these are images from my cameras

During the day, with a clean camera quality is fine, but I must agree night time it is rubbish, have to resort to actually moving my head and looking. Just lately so much road muck is thrown up it is pretty much useless any time of day but that wouldn’t matter what quality the camera was.

Yes so poor quality on my Trophy... my old Prius 2006 had better resolution (and light) on back camera ... Sure it could be improved by changing the cameras

Apparently Gen 1 ZS used same camera as HS. HS PHEV resolution was very good.
Gen 2 / facelift uses a different camera / connector. I wonder what facelift HS uses
