Interesting comment from a service desk "agent" that the vacuum system on an MG ZS EV "does more than just the brakes you know" ...

I did not know there was a vacuum system.....
However, such systems used to work the heater controls, but now also maybe handbrake, automatic brakes when under ACC etc?

Brake servo is the only biggy I can think of...

Handbrake is electrically operated I believe?

I think you're right it only has one pipe that goes to the brake servo interestingly is it made in Mexico or China?

Will it last 7 years?
My Merc e320 cdi has a similar system, I believe because they couldn't find a way to get enough vacuum from the V6? These apparently fail after some 200,000 miles and are expensive to replace.

It's a diesel so doesn't create enough "suck" like a petrol, that's why it has a pump..
