Retreading a lot of old ground here!Lease orders do go through dealerships. I am ordering through a lease company but like many others, these will be supplied by Luscombes.

Hi I’m in the same boat as you and having spoken with Vanarama, they seem completely in the dark. With them not having had a single MG ZS delivery, and Greenhous not being a “proper” retail dealer (unlike the likes of Luscombes suppliers other leasing cos) I’m becoming very sceptical that these will actually be delivered… Have you had any luck speaking with Greenhous? I’ve tried calling but none of them seem to know which part of Greenhous deals with MG.Yes, it is but Greenhous Fleet placed my order in November but MG says the order was placed in January. Greenhous Fleet seams a large organisation and have direct fleet ties to MG, so puzzled they aren't getting cars in.
When I queried the discrepancy MG just sent back the standard email and didn't bother answering why there was a 2 month difference. What's worrying is over that time the Government grant was pulled. Hopefully someone will get there act together soon![]()
I'll take a photograph of mine if it ever comes......ordered 3/12/21...LRTC in blue.View attachment 9610
My SR Trophy Connect ordered from Tusker in January was delivered today. Came with granny and Type 2 cables. Lots to learn but so far so good ?
Apologies, you're absolutely right about the orders going through the same as personal orders - my point was more that (as I understand it) the lease companies put through a large number of orders once the car goes on sale (in the case of Octopus, who I'm leasing off - this was Dec 2021) This means they have a selection of cars available to people who order later on. Therefore there isn't necessarily 'queue jumping' as per se. As the cars have technically already been ordered.I thought that lease orders still had to go though a dealership the same as personal orders from Joe Bloggs. Mine from Novuna has gone via Holdcroft in Stoke
I'd be interested to know which part of Greenhous deals with the Vanarama MG orders too.Hi I’m in the same boat as you and having spoken with Vanarama, they seem completely in the dark. I have been able to speak to Greenhous, went through 4 departments to get through to someone relevant who confirmed the order. He was not very hopeful on delivery being possible in September and expects another push back till Jan 2023, usual 4 month jump apparently, i ordered mine mid nov from VanaramaI'd be interested to know which part of Greenhous deals with the Vanarama MG orders too.
The grants will remain right? I read an earlier message about the confusion around Vanarama order dates. Seem to recall Greenhous had proof the orders were placed with MG in November, yet MG have January on their system!Yes they do, my vanarama is with g

Got hold of MG this morning who confirmed they are clueless but mention lead time of 8 to 9 months. When i mentioned time is almost up, they confirmed my order was not placed till end of Jan 22, dont understand why but that means end of october or november at the earliest for delivery from MG to Greenhous and in line with Jan 2023
No wonder vanarama is so keen on us cancelling the order as they will not be able to get any grants now and i have charger already installed
Yes i have read that before as well but its crazy how two companies have different dates on their systems but that does not surprise meThe grants will remain right? I have my charger installed, I will not cancel, if Vanarama cancel I assume we keep the charger? If Vanarama play silly buggers and keep delaying delivery when it is clear other lease companies are delivering, then that in my mind would be game playing to get people to cancel and then have to pay for their chargers.
Having said all that, I believe the delays are genuine and that we will get the car eventually.
Hi, you need to speak to Nick Jones the account Manager sorting this.Hi I’m in the same boat as you and having spoken with Vanarama, they seem completely in the dark. I am not cancelling my order. There are people getting cars that placed their orders after november but those orders probably are logged by MG as December or November rather than late Jan somehow
That could be the problem, I think I am right in saying that the grants would not have been available on the Trophy or Connect in Jan 2023.The grants will remain right? That cost of 2.5k remains with Vanarama as they are the owners and they should have claimed those, not our problemThat could be the problem, I think I am right in saying that the grants would not have been available on the Trophy or Connect in Jan 2023.
This could be a problem for Vanarama if they were asked to find an additional £2.5k per car and therefore potentially for us. Since we have a lease we have a contract from Vanarama to supply the car at a set agreed monthly cost. However not sure where we stand if Vanarama choose to cancel that contract.
Why would you buy a car from a leasing company???We ordered a Red Trophy Connect LR back in early Jan 2022, cash purchase from 360 Vehicle Leasing and was originally told 3-4 months for delivery. Now gone to Oct/Nov, but just a waiting game.
Has anyone else ordered from these guys before?
