Hi sorry for being thick, I got my MG4 today, got home plugged it into my zappi home charger and car not charging any clues please.
My sister used it in her enyaq by just plugging it in, no other way really.Have you turned on the Zappi? I have a Wallbox Pulsar Plus and to start charging I will have to press the button in the Wallbox app to start charging (or set a schedule in the app).
Or to complicate matters if you are sitting in the car testing itPage 174 of the owners manual tells you how to do it which can be downloaded here.
Apparently you need to lock the doors to start the charging.
Trophy LR, set to charge to 80% car battery is at 63%Is it a lr or sr model you have? If lr what is the battery charge % set at?
I'm going to try that now.Jona, what cable did you get with the car? If you have a granny charger could you try that to eliminate the zappi?
I've been trying to add a suggestion about the cable for the last five minutesJona, what cable did you get with the car? If you have a granny charger could you try that to eliminate the zappi?
What makes you think that as a matter of interest?I've been trying to add a suggestion about the cable for the last five minutesI have a feeling mine may not work when I eventually get to try it out
This is good advice. If your Zappi is in ECO or ECO+ it might be looking for solar power that you don’t have.On your zappi what mode is it in FAST, ECO or ECO+ ?
Use the Up down arrows to change the Mode. If you want to charge Now, you'll need it in FAST
Also if the car has more than 80% charge then it wont charge unless you change the settings in the car. I say as my car had 100% battery when I picked it up
I’m tight and thought I’d bagged a bargain by purchasing a Tesla 32amp type 2 type 2 cable for £85 - now my pessimism makes me think it’s not going to work on an mg4…What makes you think that as a matter of interest?
