Just spoken to MG Richmond and a vehicle carrier with my car on and a load of other orders from a year ago or so has just arrived. ??????Now just to try to time selling the old Diesel Mazda cx5. Just wondered what people think the best way to do the insurance is if I end up having both cars for a while to sort out selling? Hopefully only a couple of days to get it to dealership valuations. Where’s the best place to look up current market valuations too? Parker’s/auto trader/what car?

I found We Buy Any Car and Motorway gave the most realistic valuations. Obviously, selling privately might get you more, but you'd never be sure of when it would sell.

I am pretty sure that the MG dealer can set you up with a temp short 5 day insurance on the new car.
This will give you time to sell on your old car.
You have a good choice of people who will give you an offer on your old car.
You have Carzoo / W.B.A.C. / Motorway etc.

I collected my MG last Thursday, and sold my old car privately on Saturday morning (advertised on auto trader from Wednesday), getting a good £1200 more than the dealer quotes. I didn’t expect it to go so quickly - it’s always a bit of a gamble! So, for those 3 days I had to have both cars insured. I conveniently skipped over the bit that said you couldn’t have your NCD on 2 vehicles…….?

Got the call today, my (black) MG ZS EV is in the country and should be ready to collect on Friday. Order placed around March I think it was.

Had previously been told it would be December but was expecting late in the month really.

Tesco insurance charged £40 to swap cover to my new ZS and keep my old car covered as well for the balance of the cover period.

Glad to see more and people getting there cars emailed my dealer the other day no answer, also emailed mg got the standard on shortage and cannot provide an ETA until production is confirmed my order number is 3000103xxx.

has anyone who has an order number after got their car.

im guessing it’s maybe because it’s a long range trophy in blue ordered when the glass roof was standard

I don't know about after, but there are people with an order number before yours that are still waiting. For some idea, my number starts 300004XXXX and is still on shortage. I don't think the sequencing means diddly squat when it comes to fulfilment.

I believe monument silver was only added as a additional colour option to the ZS EV range, when the Gen 2 facelift model was released.
My brother has just collected his silver ZS EV LR facelift model on Friday.
Colour options available for the ZS EV facelift where Dynamic Red / Peal Black / Solid Colour White / Battersea Blue / Monument Silver if my memory serves me correctly ?.

Yes, Monument Silver. I don’t think there were any other silvers for the facelift ZS, but I have seen other names mentioned, and AFAIK they are identical - maybe used in other regions. When I think of it, I shall look at what it actually states on the car id plate.
I am really enjoying it, thank you. So comfortable, and easy to get in and out of.

Honestly it's a lottery, as not picking the 'right' dealer is also a factor. Stay optimistic though! You may me one of the lucky ones who get a call out of the blue... Don't mind me, I'm just jaded at this point ?

Thank you I’ve ordered monument silver , I’ve seen one silver and it looks lovely , so was hoping there was only one silver as i had it in my mind there was 2 and the one I seen was lovely looking forward to delivery 2 week in December that date was given to me by MG head office.

Thank you Susanna as I’ve ordered monument silver and I’ve seen one actual Silver car and really like the colour.
I have been told by MG direct that my car is made and should be with me second week in December so not long now.
I seen the photograph of your and looks lovely , glad you are enjoying the car.
