The car is not one software "lump" necessarily. It has individual modules each which could be updated independently. So perhaps that is what Gary means?

Maybe, but we are only talking about the entertainment unit here… perhaps he was indeed referencing the modules as a general reply.

Perhaps. Maybe the main number is the infotainment level, and the R version is the combination of all the other firmware? So to get R30 it’d need the LKA module to be at the most recent update

Seeing all the versions here I have popped a google sheet together that people can add their version too to see exactly where we are. I think the model and range is a big thing here. (although colour seem to vary too?

I can do some graphs etc to show what we have.

Yep should be able too. May have to play with some protection cells. Should only be the cells A-H can be edited.

MG said R13 for SE and R30 for Trophy are the latest versions based on the email I got from Gary Smart. Once I eventually get mine back I'll be able to see if they actually did anything to change mine from R24 by applying the LKA update.

This also reflects what people have reported so seems correct even though it's come from MG directly ??

I have R29 on my Trophy. Going in for alignment check next week and have asked them to update it to R30, if possible, at the same time.

It's the small one - 51er battery (sr)

Looks like the trophy’s are running 1300 too.

Yes, I think this all makes sense - they wrote the Trophy software first, hence why so many versions, then created and iterated the SE software from that, then have localised it for other markets.

Hi All,
I Collected my car (its back at the dealer now with faults...whole other thread), its SW versions (as of last Wednesday) are:
Entertainment system: SW168-29958-1300R29
Telecoms: SNAKP18E32.

I have the "pre-production hardware" message.

I’ll be testing mine with an android phone when I get it back, no doubt it’ll have the same pre-prod message

Do you have to go back to Chorley if you are struggling or can you go to another dealer for the updates
