Gearbox issues

I have a MG he phev excite just over 1.5 years old 5050 miles and having gearbox issues when you press the button on the side to put it in gear it takes 4or 5 go's to get it in gear and in reverse and in to park now needs a new gearstick and micro switch on brake pedal.

Glad someone else is having almost the same issue as me..... When it's cold I have the same issue.....it only takes 2-3 tries....I just don't hope it will get worse.

My shift stick is ready to be swapped out for a new one, just have to schedule. They reported it to MG with video evidence and they accepted.

I don’t know if we’re talking about the same vehicle because mine is a MG PHEV which isn’t listed on the list of cars. But my problem is the the regenerative braking no longer works they fiddled about with it at the MG garage but I think they know damn well what the problem is but they don’t want to fix it cause I believe it’s a gearbox out job. Looking at some of the comments it seems to me that people seem to think the brakes need new pads etc!!! Unless I’m very much mistaken there is no connection between the regenerative braking and the hydraulic braking. Will someone confirm what I think already know?
