Trophy orders and delivery dates

The pigs are revving up on the end of the runway and the down below place is freezing over!!
Yes, I've had a phone call from the dealer to say that my car has been PDI'd today and can be collected next week.....BUT... (you knew that was coming didn't you?!).. it needs 8 (eight!) software updates and, here's the interesting bit, it needs the modified breather fitted.
Interesting that, as I thought that dealers were only fitting modified breathers if a leak was reported. Either my car has been used as a runabout and accrued miles, or the dealer is being (gulp) proactive!
Only one problem now...because I've already sold my previous car, the only way of getting to the dealer is by train, and they're on strike every day next week except Monday and Wednesday ?

Anyone in the Bristol area available to give @Sloucher a lift to pick up his car??

Some of us owe him a favour for getting the printed manuals done so well for no profit.

Well done Bernie your patience has finally been rewarded. I hope you kept a handbook for yourself. I picked mine up on wednesday and was told all the software was up to date but the breather pipe question drew a blank stare. How can i tell if its been done other than no oil on the drive? is there a thread.

I ordered a red SE LR 3 weeks ago and was told 8 weeks. But I dont want it until March anyway.

Dealer didnt take a deposit as they recon they could sell it on immediately anyway

well chapelhouse have out done their selfs lost the number plates i gave them with retention docs said they never got them funny as they was both together they have docs then told ne they have ordered the wrong bloody car i changed my order in feb to the short range zsev from trophy lr guess which is still on order yes the trophy lr and to boot they dont have them on motability now so if the car arrives i cant have it told cancel order and order amg4err no i ordered an mgzsev its what i want lucky motability manage stick with first order tbh glad they did as lr now not sr lol and still get sun roofthey changed the motability order but not the order to mg and told poss feb del not bad from jan 2022

Using sentences would make this a lot easier to read and understand.

I can't think of any way of knowing whether or not it's got the new breather, as if the dealer is unaware of the issue, then the only thing you can be certain of is that it's not been installed by the dealer. It could well have been fitted at the factory though, if its a recent delivery.

Bit of an update - was told today that my car will be arriving at the dealer 13/12/2022.

Further update - seems the care transporter has yet to arrive and 'The System' still shows 13/12/22.

Sent an email to the dealer (who replied prettily handily to be fair) including the line:

'One wonders how a car transporter can take this long to get to North Wales – maybe MG are using it in a Christmas Special of the UK’s Strongest Man and the competitors are relay pulling it along the motorway now! '

It’s a shame that your contribution to the discussion could be lost or misunderstood because it is hard to read. A few full stops takes no time and makes a big difference to the ease of reading your post.

It's just a frustrated rant at Chapelhouse and does not really relate fully to this thread. Hope it all goes well for Les going forward irrespective.

Yes the Trophy LR and to boot they don't have them on Motability now so if the car arrives I can't have it.
Told I had cancelled order and ordered an MG4...err no I ordered an MG ZSEV, it's what I want. Luckily Motability managed to stick with correct order. Tbh I am glad they did as LR now not SR, lol , and I still get the sun roof. They had changed the motability order but not the order to MG. Told possibly Feb delivery...not bad from Jan 2022"

I ordered mine on 26 August. It’s now at the dealers and I am collecting on 29 December (fingers duly crossed). At the time of order, the dealer said guaranteed delivery this year.

ordered 5th September from Cars2 at Barnsley, Boxing Day will be 16 weeks since order placed (gave them 3 options for colour, but basically anything except orange or black). spoke to Ricky there yesterday and was told that they had no idea what they have coming or when, but I am top of the list

Not expecting it anytime before March realistically but I would be very interested if anyone on here gets one from cars 2 Barnsley in the next few weeks

Dealer did not know if it has the modified breather
Under tray is fine
No mats supplied

Got a £30 discount on a V2L cable
All updates supposed to have been done - car could not be released if the ‘locked in’ update had not been done

Email from dealer today (30 December): Not delivered to dealer yet.

There's also been posts on FB from dealers stating MG have disabled the interface between MG dealers and DVLA for registration of vehicles.

They've said MG usually do this at the end of the month normally the last day of the month at lunch but they've disabled it this morning without warning so no new MGs registered until 2023 now.
