Any fuse that blows without a known reason is always a worry, but sometimes the fuse itself is faulty. Does the software use the signal from the brake switch to initiate the vacuum system?

Nah - it would be a bit hit n miss to only start pulling a vacuum to work the brakes once you initiated your emergency stop ! ??

I was meaning at start up. The forum member associated the brake pedal switch with the failure of the vacuum system.

The only connection is the brakes are assisted by a vacuum generated on EVs by a pump ??

I would pray that, at boot, the car checks for sufficient vacuum & switches the pump on as required, before "ready" is announced ?

I'm sure it will work in a closed loop cycle so the vacuum is continuously monitored and the pump started/stopped as necessary.
