Hi, What are all the Documents you get with the CAR? I brought a 22plate ZS EV and all I received is a Pocket Size Booklet, no service record stamps book or Manual etc, Obviously no locknut Key.

If you dont get hte service record doc, how you can see hte service record of the Vehicle?

Just call MG customer care and ask them to check service records based on your plate. It is possible (like in my case) that the dealership did the service but didn't bother to upload them to their global db, so I have to chase them now

Sketchy. No books with mine and no service book.

Service requirement is also ambiguous - website says nothing need doing at 10k but warranties invalid if it’s not serviced at 10k.

Another deception by MG.

I think deception is pretty strong.

No service book is par for the course.

I didn't get one with the previous new car I had. Electronic service history is par for the course.

The nothing needs doing at 10k thing is likely pretty close to the truth. Welcome to the world of EV maintenance, in the first 3 years is pretty lightweight which is a good thing.

I leased mine and all I got was the single sheet of paper that's the certificate of manufacture and the little booklet. You never even see the V5 with a lease ?

In the MG ISmart app if you select my profile you will see Manual (3rd from bottom). Select and you will see owner manual, Navi Manual and Service Portfolio

Website is clear that no maintenance is required at 10, 30 etc k miles. Only 20k , 40k etc. However, it has to go in for an inspection that costs £160. Apparently they do nothing but it is required to keep warranty. This is deception. When I enquired I was told that the service requirement is in the owners manual supplier with the car. When I explained there was not one - they said ah well you still have to get a service at 10k, 30k etc.

£160 seems steep.

These light touch 'check over' type services should be cheapish.

I paid £42 for my Ioniq EV in its first year for example.

You can print this out and ask for a dealership stamp.
Why? its all in your MG ISmart app? Please check!!!! You can print the proper one from there?....Along with the manuals, or read them on whatever you have the app on?

Glad I spotted this thread, my ZS is a year old at the end of the month. So got it booked in for its first ‘service’ at Charles Warner, Lincoln for £94.80. Said it only takes an hour…

If you come to sell it in the future, you can hand it over to the new owner for their records. :)

This is all I have?
