Main battery showing 10A drain when stationary

Hello there fellow drivers,

I've been keeping a very close eye on my range during the last 8 months and have found that using the battery heater before I drive and while driving keeps my range at about 190 miles for a complete charge. I have the short range version.

However, I noticed that recently my car, on start-up and while stationary during my journey will show a 10amp usage from the main battery. This is not always there, and usually shows zero amps from the main battery when stationary. This obviously kills my range and it was probably happening last winter too when I would barely get 100 miles out of my car. Has anyone else had this issue, seen this issue, or knows what it is? I will be going to see my dealer as my car is still under warranty, and I'm fed up with losing 20 miles of range in 10 miles of journey, and that's without the aircon being on.

It's charging the 12v battery and running all the auxiliaries such as heating etc. It's normal during winter.

The ac and heating are not on. Why doesn't it do it during the summer?

Didn't you say you have the battery heater on ? In summer the battery would be warm.
