Reminds me of when I was an apprentice in the late 70s, a friend had managed to pass his bike test and got himself an early Suzuki GS thou, spindly forks , poor brakes and massive lump of an engine.
Crossing Bury town centre he approached a five way traffic light junction and as the light were changing to red took a chance, unfortunately a bloke in a Reliant Robin had pre-empted the lights changing in his favour and gone into the box junction. My friend hit it just behind the drivers door and was catapulted over the top and broke his arm on landing, after tumbling he turned around to see the damage and saw the guy sat in the drivers seat ,two hands on the steering wheel completely in the open air with just a thin box section frame and 3 wheels and a GS thou still upright in the frame of the car. Everything else glass ,glass fibre was scattered in a thousand pieces all over the junction , a witness stated the car " exploded " with the bemused driver totally uninjured. Still gives me a laugh 45 years on ........ True story.

Saw the same sort of thing with a Reliant Robin and a sheep . The Robin fell apart and the sheep strolled casually away ( them sheep are hard mothers ) whilst my friends and I just wet ourselves laughing . Cruel ,I know ,but also very funny

Not a collision, but I saw a Reliant Robin catch fire with an electrical fault and the entire front end just melted!

Our maths teacher at school embarrassingly rolled his Robin on to its side in front of all the kids going to school who all thought it was hilarious. He had to get a couple of sixth formers to roll it back for him.
