Running in, the first 900 miles.

The MG3 is billed primarily as a city car but what is it like at a 70mph cruise on a long motorway journey? I am thinking mainly about noise level and seat comfort. How does it compare with what you had before (whatever that was).

Compared to the other cars I have had, I would rate the MG3 as average for motorway noise, which is mostly tire roar and a bit of wind noise. What we noticed was that it was easier to hear each other when we spoke than most other cars, like the sound deadening inside does not muffle speech. Our other car is a Honda Civic, which is really poor and we have to raise our voices to be heard.

Now it is possible to have fun with the acceleration, it is still odd that an auto, non turbo, drives more like a manual with a turbo, with the slight pauses as it change gear and the extra kick from having the two engines.

My current car is a Toyota Corolla which nice to drive and I am not aware of the engine cutting in and out, also gives very good mpg. However road noise is particularly bad which is why I am thinking of changing it for an MG3. Most reviews praise the MG3 for its comfort and refinement which is more important to me than super-duper handling and something a little higher would also be welcome.

Arnold Clark sales were all, don't worry, any issues, contact us. They have already failed to reply to an email where I told them that we cannot get the key fobs to unlock the boot, I cannot get MG iSmart to find the car and the steering/tracking is slightly off, so the wheel sits at an annoying angle. Today we head to the dealership to see what they will do.

Just press and hold the 'boot' button - I was told today...

Yes, that was a bit embarrassing, not figuring out to hold the button. The salesman was very nice about and the car is booked in next week for the wheel alignment and for someone to get the app to find the car.
