What do you think is the cheapest feeling part of MG4

After one year ownership I think that the the exterior and interior plastic parts of the MG4 are of the lowest quality when compared to my previous cars. After a year of normal use, there are light scratches on the inside driving side door plastic, cracking from the inside in the transparent rear light cover and also on some of the glossy black plastic of the exterior. Where I am the UV index is high in summer, and I suspect that SAIC plastics do not contain sufficient UV filters in their formulations. Therefore their exterior plastics degrade quickly when subjected to UV radiation from the sun.
I still enjoy driving the MG4, and I still like the way it handles but I am on the verge of regretting buying it because there is a chance that all its plastic will degrade in a few years time.

For me the seat covers, but £160 off AliExpress resolved the issue (so now have grey / black, with a small bit of orange) - looks good (even if I say myself)!
According to the MG4 manual, it does not recommend seat covers, because they might interfere with the air bags.

Many of the 3rd party seat covers are designed to not impede the action of airbags on the MG4 and state so in their description.
Fair enough, but how can they not impede the air bags? They cover them up don't they? Or do they burst through the seat cover. ?

Maybe a little bit specific but it's probably the interior roof/lining... when closing the sun visors they snap up and hit the top making a very tin can like sound. Doesn't seem like there is much fabric covering the interior roof.

Not really, as soon as you start driving it, all is forgiven.

That's it, isn't it!

If I'm going to complain, it's about the weight of the boot and bonnet opening. My Golf opened to a touch. I also had my first problem regarding the lack of hand grips on the passenger side the other day. I had a very elderly passenger with a walking frame, and she reached up to a grip that wasn't there a couple of times.

There are openings in the fabric, covered with just a flap, to allow the air bags to deploy. It's discussed in another thread, with photos. Very neat solution actually.

I'd still love someone who has fitted these to explain in detail how they did the rear seat bench. I go all the rest of it done but in the end had to pay my dealer to do the rear seat bench. I'm trying to forget what they charged me.

My frustration is having to manually fold the mirrors after parking. It baffles me why an EV doesn’t come with electric mirror folding—doesn't make sense. But I love everything else about my Mama Smurf MG4 SE.

They do on the Trophy version. I imagine it is just the software that is the difference and MG decided it was one way to differentiate the cars - after all if the base trim has everything you need, why would anyone buy the higher spec?
