Thinking of ordering one

They physically have the car now so are delivering this Tuesday getting excited now ? anything I should do when I first get it settings etc ? Already got a black badge ready to put on

Test every switch and button, turn the climate fans up to max, adjust temp to make sure they blow hot and cold, check air is flowing from the direction set

If you get strange warnings lock the car, leave for a minute then return and wait for all screens and messages to clear before pressing the brake to turn on the traction battery

Every time you go on a journey that will take you above 40mph disable the LKA function

If had my chance to collect ours new again, I would take the car out with the sales guy prior to final 'sign off' for a 65mph+ stint just to see if there are any major vibrations.

Check the granny charger is supplied (just found ours missing and dealer unresponsive about replacement) and that all the controls work.

Disable LKA (and personally I do traffic sign recognition & front collision too before every journey) before driving off. If you are used to driving an EV, enable one pedal driving (charge has to be less than ~92% though for this to engage).

And finally ENJOY!

Ask them to upgrade to latest software (R59) - The LKA is actually not that bad, I don't bother to turn it off - occasional false triggers (especially over the brow of a hill on B roads I've noticed). My dealer upgraded mine during PDI as they had problems with the satnav - so worth checking that's OK if on older software.

Take a look at the rear undertray and photograph for reference - it will probably get worse as you put miles on.

Quick little thread update there was an issue with my order of the car so had to wait to sort all that out and order another one this time in white but good news it’s being delivered on Monday ?

Last 3 letters of the number plate are UPX so it’s got X in there somewhere ?

Yep, agreed, there's also an argument for a used higher quality EV as opposed to new one but not for salary sacrifice though.

This is what I did with mine. Not an X-Power but got my year old Trophy LR with only 2.8k miles on the clock used. The price was nearly £8k down from a new one. Hard to say no to that..

We've ordered one on salary sacrifice and been given a delivery date of 3rd October. Getting it in Blue, looking forward to joining the club but delivery seems a long way off given the dates of others on here.

Yea mine has taken 2 weeks from order to delivery octopus pre order cars in certain colours so was a stock car

We use a broker so unsure which company it's coming from. Seems blue isn't that popular. Only one for sale on Auto trader nationwide

The more white ones I see, the more nostalgic I get.

It really suits the car.

I've would have gladly given my left Teste for one of these in the 80's

Had a white Astra GTE 16V back in 1990, didn't handle as well as the RS, but was still very rapid for the day. Used to torque steer like mad, when accelerating gently away from traffic lights ?
Thats when my love affair white cars began, had a fair number over the years.
