Keyless start? Anyone got it working?

I created a new account and bound that to the car, then the digital key worked.
I might give this a go. I've a domain with a 'catch all' email account so it doesn't really matter what I use. I've already got various addresses such as UpYoursNintendo@... and APCOAareSHIT@... ?
 
Still haven't managed to get this fixed. The 3rd time it went in the dealership said I needed to use the app, get in, sit down, close the door, put the seatbelt on and then press the pedal. Hint... it didn't work.

When it went for the 4th time a few weeks later the service manager called and said "we've fixed the keyless start... the battery in your fob was low" ?‍♂️ After explaining, he said oh, I'll get someone to look before we give it back. Another hint, I got it back and it still doesn't work.
 
May or may not be the cause but I found to get the app to work for keyless start, you need to be near vehicle with Bluetooth and if using Android based phone, location services must be enabled for it to work. That for me at least was the solution as it refused to work otherwise. Also worth a try is to uninstall and reinstall app on your phone and to clear the cache in the MG app.

No dice, I've tried 3 Android phones and 2 Apple phones all with the same result. They connect to Bluetooth and can open the car doors but "key not detected" shows up whenever I sit down

Still not as convenient as the keyless fob though.
Maybe... but, I bought the car to go completely key free as I don't use house keys anymore.
 
OK. so when you go into the app under your profile then select digital key. Has a digital key been generated and protected by your user PIN number? i.e are you even able to get that far in the app. If this has been done then the keyless start option wont even be selectable in the app. What errors at which stage of digital key setup or usage are you getting in the app?
 
Same here, it will unlock/lock the car, but key not detected when you try and start.

It used to work, but when I reset my phone and had to reinstall the iSmart app, and so had to re-initialise the digital key it has never worked since.

I have also since changed my phone - it still doesn't work. I think the original digital key is "stuck" somewhere, probably in the car as the servers do not seem to take part in the starting process.

Older versions of iSmart would show multiple digital keys - one for each time I had to re-initialise. None of them worked mind. Later versions only show one key - I suspect the others are still present.

There does not seem to be any way of clearing everything down. I have even tried deleting my iSmart account. When trying to recreate it (even weeks later) the servers say it already exists (GDPR compliant?), so you cannot clear it that way.

Like I said it used to work, I'm perfectly aware of what is supposed to happen.

Interestingly (mildly anyway) when you press "start" in the app all sorts of clicking happens with the brake pedal. And the pedal locks in the top position, or goes to the floor, or feels normal depending on where you are in the series of clicks.

Re GDPR, the MG Privacy document states for all things associated with the iSmart app (including digital keys)
We process your data no longer than is necessary for the purposes for which the personal data are processed. At the most, the data is stored until the user deletes the ISMART account.

And you correctly pressed the keyless start button after ensuring the Bluetooth is connected?

And the digital key is there?

Have you tried to unbind the app and then binding to the car again?
