Been singing the MG4s praises since I got the car earlier this year, despite a very strange air ventilation issue I've had very little to complain about with both car and MG in general..
..Until this week.
Tuesday evening I got in the car and to my surprise the main infotainment screen just refused to start up...odd. Okay, no problem, I soft reset it and it turned on and continued my journey without issue.
Wednesday morning - same thing happens, the screen stays black until I reset the system again. Wednesday afternoon the screen comes on as normal - phew - I thought.
Thursday morning to now - screen has remained black on start up every single time, and every time I've had to reset the system to get it going (With one time the screen flashing on and off).
You may have seen my other posts in various threads about how my car was booked in for the recall software update on Friday - great I thought, I can get everything up to date and explain the the vent issue and now the screen issue. Guy I spoke to (assuming it was a manager of some sort) at my local dealer felt very condescending towards the issues I had. Anyway, dropped the car off and expected it to be updated.
Friday afternoon I get a call to say it's ready, I get to the dealer only to be told by the same manager that the screen does not come to life so the update couldn't be done. Now I'm sorry if this seems a bit much to ask - but surely if I know how to reset the system to bring the screen back to life the ACTUAL MG STAFF should know too? Beyond angry about this.
Anyway, to where I am now, car is booked in for a service in a couple of weeks time where hopefully I can get these issues resolved once and for all AND get the long awaited software updates at my cost probably.
Apologies for the text heavy post - needed to "vent" a bit.
