Mg3 opinions…

Thank you!
Ooooo ? I was expecting more.. around 400-500 miles.?
It may do that eventually, I've yet to see an actual fuel gauge, and it may need to settle in, I'm seeing trip of over 200 (forgot the exact number) and about 230 to go, but it really is a bit pants that bit as the range keeps changing as does the mpg due to how much regen I get, and that too is upside down to my feeble mind, surely if I'm going downhill in regen it should show a +kw figure but it shows -kw.

Hello every one from Greece. I want to buy the new mg3 hybrid but i am not sure about the reliability of the car. I know that the model is very new and it might have some issues but I have second thoughts…. What is your opinion about the mg3 how do you feel it on the road and what is that bothers you most with the car?
I've had my Trophy for just over a week and, apart from getting a grip of the many, many electronic extras, I'm finding the car brilliant. Power, road holding, braking, comfort etc, all really good. Mileage is reading 69.8 mpg most days. Even had 74.8 on the trip from Perrys in Preston to home in Warrington. I put £35 worth of petrol in last Wednesday, I've driven 292 miles and the gauge showing range left is still showing 310 miles. Very impressed. Had a quote for 3 year servicing plus MOT for £742 from Holdcroft MG in Warrington. My insurance is sky high, but I'm 83, so ageism at work.

Sir I wish you all the best!

I suspect it's a bit like going downhill with the setting on immediate not overall, I'd like it to be true but if it was MG would be quoting 100mpg.

I think the oddest thing about the car, is that it is a non turbo automatic that has noticeable gear changes and a turbo like boost to the acceleration.

I also get some unconvincing mpg readouts on the "from start", but an overall 58.9 mpg from the beginning seems accurate for the miles and fill ups.

I also find the drivers seat to feel a bit lumpy, but I can do a good mileage and not be uncomfortable at the end.

Otherwise, it makes a very convincing case for a hybrid, with a great mpg, acceleration and in traffic it spends the majority of its time in EV mode. Our record is a very brief 60mph in EV, so emissions must be far better than any other car we have ever owned.

Mileage is excellent regularly get 72 mpg myself. Got into the 80s once so far. Looking at 550 range in the tank

No, that just selects Eco Ann, it's under one of the car icon sub menus and can be set up to be changed by programming one of the star buttons as you may not need 3 in town but going down a steep hill it helps.
