Hi all, we have a Mk1 MGZS on a 21plate. over the last few days we have noticed that the passenger foot well is wet, thought of the rubbers, but i think as the AC has been on all the time, we have noticed there is no water on the road under the car. I have seen somewhere that it could be the AC Condensate tube come off, has anybody heard of this or knows how to fix it if it is an easy fix? any help would be very appreciative.

Your assumption that it's the AC drain seems right to me, but I'd also check the sun roof drains if you have one.

Thanks will do, but another development has transpired. The car will not charge now, ev charger ok, tried 2 leads, used a Rolec EV charge check all ok, even went to Tesco tried a rapid charge still same fault, took it to MG they say there is a fault with the onboard charger, just have to wait now

But a fault with the On Board Charger (CCU) should not affect rapid charging. The EVCC is the computer that is common to both AC and rapid charging.

Hopefully the right part is on order.

Cheers guys, not sure what is going on as the garage have not had a look at it yet, but will see. Interesting about the CCU and the EVCC. I wonder why it would just go though. my only thoughts is that the day before the infotainment system went blank and a message came up saying Radio Module not connected, looking at other forums, suggested disconnecting the small battery and reconnect, which i did and the infotainment came back to life, i wonder if that effected the EVCC at all

If you have a puddle in the car and electrical issues you likely have water dripping on electrics behind the dash.

The ac drain sounds like a good starting point if turns out to be on passenger side

One of the posts mentioned sunroof drains, this scenario did happen to me on an older Toyota years back.
the sunroof drain tube disconnected from the corner of the sunroof cavity, I didn't realise it at the time but only in really heavy rain would it drip down onto the headliner and flow down inside of windscreen pillar, right below the pillar was the fusebox,

I came out middle of one night thinking someone was stealing the car as the starter motor was turning over every few seconds...

When I jumped in and opened the fuse box under the pillar it was soaked wet. And could see dripping water.

Touching the headline I realised it was soaked, and when I pulled down the headliner (with difficulty) I could see the drain tube sitting there disconnected..

Let us all know if you find the source of that puddle..
