Discharge limit (VtL)

This is why I love this forum. Thank you guys. One tap and it was done. Didn't even need to plug in the VtL socket.

It's a bit unintuitive. It looks like a slider, and I just kept trying to slide it. But if this was a bug, I couldn't believe that nobody else had been squealing about it. I feel a bit silly now not having tried to tap it, but it just didn't occur to me.

I just tried. I stand corrected, the v2l connector isn't required to change the discharge level.

Tapping is the way: Still doesn't work for setting a charge limit though, on my SE that seems stuck at 100%

Since the thread has run its course, I'll emphasise the reply to that last part. The SE SR has an LFP battery that should be charged to 100% (and allowed to balance for 30-35 minutes) every time you charge it (on AC). You're not meant to be able to set a maximum charge level. The bug in this case is that they haven't customised the screen for the LFP. We get the same screen as all the other MG4 models (which have NMC batteries that don't like to be at 100% too much), except that the ability to change the limit is disabled. "Health mode" means nothing to the SE SR. Just let it do its thing.
