Hello

I have spoken to my dealer about some mudflaps for the MG5 facelift but they are telling me they cannot get hold of any. After a quick Google search I can find them readily available on various websites but they all say pre facelift.

My question is do the pre facelift mud flaps fit the facelift model? I would be getting the dealership to fit them as I don't feel confident fitting them myself and they said they will only fit a genuine part & not an aftermarket.

Thanks in advance

No idea whether they fit the facelift, I'm sure someoine here will know but fitting is a doddle if they do. If you can undo a bolt/screw and then bolt/screw it back up then you can do it. That is literally, in the truest sense of the word, all there is to it.

Thanks, managed to find a set of aftermarket ones for fairly cheap. I did not realise how easy they seem to fit on, I was abit worried about having to remove the wheels but it seems that won't be necessary. Will see how i get on with it when they arrive next week.

Success with the rear mudflaps but unfortunately the front definitely require a bigger screw & I'm still abit skeptical if they are going to fit with that so fingers crossed. I've found on another thread the correct size screw, i just hope i can get these to fit.

Ah yes I remember when I did mine, needed the longer screws as those supplied were too short. See link here to my solution. :) Just turning the front wheel gives plenty of room to do the job.

Thanks, i used that link to order some few days ago and they turned up today, originally I thought they looked abit too long but I've managed to get the front ones on today! Little bit of fidding to get the screws in place but I managed it eventually.

I also had my AliExpress mudguards turn up this week. Front ones went on perfectly, but the back ones don't fit, as they're too 'deep'. It seems that they're expecting the wheel arch liner to be about an inch deeper than the bumper edge, when it's flush (at least on my PFL), unless I'm missing something?

Are yours fitting the same as the pics in the first post of the above link ?

Oh dear. Deffo doesn't look right. I can't really help with those, sorry.
