Question on mg5 tyres

Hello
First post so not sure if I’m in the right area for questions .
I have just bought the mg5 trophy long range and annoyed already . I have been on all the tyre online sites and not one of them do the make of tyre that comes with my car
This means if one tyre gets damaged I have got to replace all 4 to have the same tyres all round the car . Has anyone else had this problem ?

You only need to have the same tyres on each axle, so if the worst happens just buy a pair.

As above, an axle pair is the normal recommendation so you can go for a pair of new tyres or alternatively keep an eye open for owners who have already done this so have a good original spare going begging. They come up for sale here from time to time (actually bought one myself to go on a full size spare rim).

What make of tyre are they? Mine was supplied with Michelin primacy which you can find anywhere.

Thanks for the link but I know for a fact the tyre shops where I live won’t fit tyres they haven’t supplied and neither will AA when I call them out . I can’t be the only MG owner who has these tyres ? You would think places like Halfords . Kwick fit would stock these .
I may as well just go buy 4 tyres that the Uk do supply and fit ,save myself the problems later . I will sell the ones that came on the car on EBay I guess .

I have these as well. Was a little disappointed not to get Michelin, especially as I had Cross Climates on my last car. However, they don't seem too bad at the moment

MyTyres do fitting via local tyre shops. I could see a couple of places in Beckenham.
There are other companies offering a similar service.

Hi yes they do offer the fitting but will not guarantee the tyre if it has a problem .
The main problem with this is if I get a puncture and need to call someone out they will not do this tyre so I will be paying for replacing the tyre that is different to all the rest .
I have now thought about this and bugger it I’m changing all the tyres to a well known make and will sell the replaced tyres why they are still new .
Anyone want to buy 4 tyres for a Mg5 long range lol??

Also I should have said when asking for help that my car did not come with a spare wheel if it had would have been less of a problem .

Right just found out surprisingly that the AA will come out and fit your own tyre you bought on line for free.
So I’m going to buy one of those tires the guy sent me a link to earlier and keep it in my shed lol ? and NO I don’t have a garage .

My earlier tyre sets were Michelin Primacy 4's (coming from the original continentals) and I thought they were fine. Last time round they didn't have any in stock so I got Hankook Ventus Prime's and they are so much quieter. I'll need to wait and see what winter handling is like.

I'm lucky in that my car being leased I just have to go to KF or ATS and ask, I don't have to pay the bill.

I’m really confused. Why are you replacing all four tyres for no reason? What you are saying just seems really daft. Your tyre does not even look worn. Why are you worrying about what happens when and if you get a puncture?

Tyres are easy to get hold of for the MG5 and then have fitted at numerous places.

What exactly is the problem?

Ditto!! (The space saver was part of the "standard" car equipment and I was able to buy under the Affinity scheme, which automatically included a full-size spare.)

I know you were one of the early adopters of the 5 and my purchase was completed and the car delivered just before the facelift was released but I wonder why you didn't get the full-size spare? Did the scheme "change"?
