MG4 X-Power Orders & Delivery

Good!! Go get um, Tiger! ????

The shocking thing about that document m8, is the date! 21 March 2024

And remember, that's the date of the document, so they must have known and been working on that for weeks before!

And how many times I visited the dealer to complain.........

Ignore the bottom two.

Test drive and collection.

And a further look at the dampener date 15 October 2023!!!

That's just one month after I first walked into the dealer to complain!!

One month.

So once again I say they must of known about it way before 15th October 2023!!!

Something Stinks when you start looking deeper into it.

So basically, end of Feb'24 for XPowers that have the full fix applied - haven't heard of anyone receiving that recent a build on here!
Similarly, we're looking at all current deliveries having supposedly had the steering wheel damper treatment and a mixed bag of results still...

Also 2 weeks in and driven in eco 99.5% of the time.
Only put it in sport for about 10 seconds on a slip road entry to feel the pickup but even then only about half pedal travel🫣.
Eco is lovely and smooth and with mine at least if you plant pedal to floor the front motor will cut in briefly but power levels are massively down from Normal.

Also will be very interesting to see how constant hammering and asking the full 320kW over 5C discharge albeit bursts will affect battery health over long term.
At lower charge levels there must be some significant voltage drop under the load.

To be honest, Chris. I'm not really interested what effect it will have on the Battery long term. I'm to busy enjoying it, and will continue to do so. But maybe that's just me. 🙂👍

‘‘Tis true, 1st/2nd owners (registered users, whatever the correct term is) are unlikely to see any real detriment to battery performance irrespective of how they charge/use the vehicle - that’s for some other poor sod way further down the chain to discover… In my own situation I can see myself frequently using 80% for a twice+ weekly commute in winter conditions and still trying to figure out whether better to run battery all the way down or keep taking to 100% in terms of ‘responsible’ battery management.

Good job were all different!

I can't stand Eco mode.

Feels like the throttle is stuck in syrup.(to me)
I did not buy an X Power to worry about economy.

I bought it because performance is my preliminary requirement.

Did I happen to mention that it delivers most satisfactorily on that point.👍

Eco Mode? Didn't realise it had one.
🤔😉🙂👍

Agree we are all different for sure.

The car is amazing , totally love it, i did not overly choose it for the power as such, i chose it because i wanted an MG4 but preferred the alloys and interior trim and exterior plastic being gloss over the other versions and like 4wd.
Not had a 4wd car since my scooby doo.

This car is a car that incorporates all my previous fave cars, my 80s/90s Ford hot hatches and the Scooby, and it is electric and in Orange it turns heads.

The bonus is the lease deal is as cheap as a Trophy 64kWh anyway .
Drove it home in sport tonight, agree it is mental quick and fun but on the roads i mainly use you simply cannot even begin to enjoy the power it has available.

I can.
Many offline videos attest to such.

The joys of 'Cunry Livin' 👍🤣

I did, my max speed i could hit due to other cars was 33mph, the 1 or so seconds it took to get there was wonderful when i had a clear road in front to actually close up on the car in front.🤔
Hence pipe and slippers mode.

You can give it a bloody good go, though.

Gents please try and keep the thread on topic and don't derail it, there are other threads allocated to driving fast and traffic light drag racing. This thread is purely about orders and deliveries.

Your assistance with this matter is very much appreciated, as always😁

I've found ECO mode does'nt do that much for economy (over 8500 miles and 1 year) and stay in Normal Mode (or Sport Mode when twisty or wet roads). I can still drive very smoothly and sedately in these modes If I want, but also keep that instant acceleration a jab away if needed 😁😉👍
