Heated Steering Wheel

It gets too hot, where the hands must be placed (10:10), but this is also the case in other machines.
when the hand is heated it is better to turn it off.

the heating element on the wheel heats when you turn it on, however it is due to where you are holding it, that is where you will feel it due to the pressure applied to the outer leather

This is why I got the SE not the Trophy. The more you have the more can go wrong. That is also why when we by any white goods it's always the basic
The spec on the SE had all I needed. Sure the other bits would have been nice, but I couldn't justify the extra 2 grand. I would get a few pairs of gloves and some thermals out of that and still have some change left over.

Is it just my car but the heated steering wheel is only heating a portion of the wheel and even that is only marginally warm
Mine gets hot but only seems to be around the lower half of the steering wheel. Even when I transfer my hands to the upper half it makes no difference, it's still cold. Also, the heater seems to be very slow to emit warm air until it's been on 25°C for at least five minutes. Anyone else have this problem ?

The heater works off the combustion engine, which works off a different combustion cycle than a stand alone petrol engine. The reason for this is to make for smoother integration with the hybrid system. This cycle, known as the Atkinson cycle is more thermo efficient than a standard petrol engine. The downside is that it takes longer to heat up, more like a diesel in fact.
