Charging help

Hi all. I’m having real problems with my car 13amp plug in charger. I’m away from staying at my parents house in Cornwall. I go here late last night & plugged in my charger; this is first time I’ve had to use it. It comes up with power on light but when I go on the app it says failed every time so I come on here to get some charging help. I have tried deleting the app & reset it. Can’t think of anything else I can do to get it to work.

Have you tried it on a different socket and are you using an extension cable. Could be an earthing problem

Also if there are Internet extension plugs on the circuit that can mess it up.

you should be able to charge it OK with out the app.

When you plug it in the vehicle needs to be off.
Ensure this by locking and unlocking.
THEN plug in charger and turn on power.
You should hear relays clicking and the display come up wit "AC charging, at kW" and your current range.

what app, MG ? and what 13A charger, MG one? have you tried from the car screen battery menu? check out instruction manual for more details

It was mg app I was using I have tried all the other suggestions that you all left me then I gave up & went off to find a charger in the end but I will try this when I next get chance thanks everyone for your support and helpful tips

may be the faulty charger too. mine sometimes fails to start charging when I set the timer - lost internet connection and can't time when to start and stop ...
check different chargers if you can and different ways to start charging.
