Life after the MG5

Purchased a 2020 Kia e Niro 4 yesterday to replace our diesel. Only the drive home to judge by so far but v impressed. Slightly bigger in cabin and rear seats. Slightly smaller boot.
I drove the MG5 home with just heated seat on. The Mrs drove the Niro home with heating at 21°, heated seat and steering wheel on, and she drove faster than me. I achieved 3.7 mi/kWh and she got the same by both cars' trip computer.

I miss the economy of our i3, lifetime 4.6 mi/kWh. I haven't checked the MG5 yet, maybe this weekend.

My Kona impresses me every time I use it, I'm sure your e-Niro will too. Does your new e-Niro have a heat pump ? My Kona doesn't but I still achieve quite good figures with all the heating on which has been permanently all winter.

I must agree with those comments my Kona is a dream to drive. I don't think I will be going back to MG. I'm not suggesting MG's are bad cars because they are not it is MG themselves they don't seem to care about their customers, it seems the dealerships are also getting frustrated with the lack of back up from MG.

1 week into Niro ownership and so impressed. This time of year the efficiency is crazy. Getting a higher mile per kWh in the Niro than I can get from MG5 with heating off and heating set to 22°C in the Niro. Will carry on comparing as time goes on.
The app is also a very nice touch that would make the MG5 a lot more user friendly.

Our I3 had a good app as well allowed precondition etc. MG5 of course was a an ICE car so different and doesn't really need an app.
