Lane assist help

As I've said several times it's great your car is working and I also said there are fixes/updates for everything. The problem is getting MG UK and dealers to do the right updates.

The fact they aren't and numerous people are still experiencing issues doesn't mean there isn't a problem still. This isn't cured by reading the manual or caused by user error as you have alluded too before

It's a pity it's not cured by you telling us how perfect your car is, in every thread people are discussing issues. We would all have perfect cars. Unfortunately it's not hence the discussions.
wow, you really do have a problem with sour grapes. As I said previously, EVs clearly aren't for you. Maybe something with a lot less tech would be more suitable? :ROFLMAO:

I fail to see how that is funny, good that you're laughing at your own jokes though, someone has too!

I don't have sour grapes at all mate I'm not using the MG,

I also don't understand how you came to the conclusion that EV,s aren't for me! I am now onto my third, have plenty experience of them, having owned one for the last 8 years, and advocate them to everyone that asks about them. So that comment has fallen on its arse also, bit like your attempt at humour!

You last point about something with a lot less tech, maybe it's because I have had three EVs and have access to another two that I just want the tech to work as it's advertised to work and because I can compare it to other systems I know that MGs is amongst the poorest out there.

But what do I know EVs clearly aren't for me😉

I’ve been lucky enough to collect my MG4 two weeks ago and made sure it came with all the latest updates. From all the chatter online, I thought I’d be turning LKA off on every drive, but I have to say, with the latest software, I’ve had no issues at all.

Side note: This is my second MG from Chiswick MG, and I’ve been really happy with what you get for the money and the service I receive from my dealer.

Pleased you're not having any issues mate and proves the point that the updates are out that make everything work as it should.
Also good that you appear to have a proactive dealer as that is what you want if you do experience any issues👍

Yep, same here but some blame MG when in fact most of their 'gripes' are user error, not reading the owner's manual. Tech isn't for everyone, sad fact of life.

Well, that's even more disappointing that you've had 3 EVs and still haven't managed the tech involved

Well, that's even more disappointing that you've had 3 EVs and still haven't managed the tech involved. So no, it certainly doesn't look like EVs are for you and they're not for everyone. Throwing rocks continually at a car brand shows that's the case in this instance and throwing rocks at owners who haven't had any issues just shows that even more. Maybe some anger management classes for you?

Maybe you are right, you certainly seem to think you are in every thread you post in.
I manage the tech fine and I'm not throwing rocks at anyone merely replying to the odd post full of self importance and crap attempts at humour from pompous clowns who try to down play peoples legitimate concerns.

In your next post, which I'm sure will be along shortly try not to write the same sentence twice again it doesn't make it true if you say it more than once

LKA is a nuisance where I live - country lanes. I always disable it but if the lights are on auto and switch themselves on or off it is re-enabled. The dealer told me it is the law to have LKA default on. True?

Do you have the latest update. I have only had my car with the latest update but driving round London narrow roads it only seems to kick very mildly at higher speeds. Low speeds I do not even notice it.

London probably has well defined lane markings. In my part of the world, the roads have deteriorated to an astonishing degree in the last decade. There are potholes and cracks all over the place and half the lines have been badly eroded so the LKA has no idea what it's looking at - TBH I have no idea either half the time. When it suddenly picks up something it likes the look of, like the remains of an arrow, it latches onto it and treats it like the edge of the lane.
It just can't cope with real world conditions out here in the sticks.

Not sure about clearly defined landmarks in London and there is loads of pot holes for sure. lol

But I get your point for sure.

Worth getting the update at some point to see if it helps in your situation.

FWIW, LKA drops out at about 35 mph, so that may be why you don't notice it. ;)
